Surprisingly simple but good

The Novo Tempo is rather hidden and very inconspicuous in a side street - no walking position. We were curious about Brazilian cuisine and took advantage of an offer from Groupon that promised us a three-course meal with a glass of wine. The restaurant itself is very harmonious, but without any comfort, which is partly due to the far too bright, unfavorable lighting. The starter consisted of a few apparently deep-fried cassava pieces (not nearly as many as in the photo of another reviewer!) And four small, completely dried, bony-cartilaginous chicken pieces, carelessly placed on a small plate, from which one can eat together had to. The cassava tasted interesting - similar to french fries, but the chicken particles were unreasonable. The main course (3 small grilled scampi with some vegetables) was really, very tasty, wonderfully seasoned and at least a little topped with a handful of lettuce leaves, but the portion was anything but generous - one is more inclined to go all out say that it was definitely far too little for a main course - even if you take into account a certain "deduction" due to the cheaper Groupon price. Last but not least, the "Brazilian caramel pudding" in the menu turned out to be a genuine Langnese vanilla ice cream ball with a lovelessly adjacent orange wedge and without even the smallest swab of cream without any explanation - these too had to be eaten together from a plate. A look at the menu revealed a mixture of Italian and Brazilian cuisine at sometimes overpriced, incomprehensible prices - especially when the portions are so small. The service was very friendly and brisk, so there are three stars, even if the whole thing was rather disappointing and we actually had to go home hungry because we were not fed up with these homeopathic "tooth fillers" ...

5 stars for the service of the cook who came especially at our super nice table to explain the menu (because the waitress did not know) and also for the great food. But the service, terrible. The full time employee on the cell phone, we had to call 3 times until she realized it was up to her. Not a smile and no motivation to serve us, picking up the dishes from the table without me having finished.

Small, unassuming restaurant with surprisingly good food! The site advertises Italian food and Brazilian flair, but on Saturday there was Brazilian live music and a small menu of excellent traditional Brazilian dishes. We tested 3 dishes and were convinced by everyone. The local seems to be a well-known meeting place for Brazilians in Munich, the mood is informal. Conclusion: insider tip!

One of the few places in Munich where you have a quiet, welcoming surrounding, good down-to-home food for reasonable prices and the boss himself waits you. Definitely worth a visit.
